Springfield, Missouri USA
The Queen City of the Ozarks
Pictured here is my first home in Springfield, Missouri, The Kentwood Arms Hotel (Kentwood Hall) on historic Route 66 that is now owned by Missouri State University (Go Bears!). Springfield has a lot to offer the traveler. Bass Pro Shops (Pro Bass - That's right, some people call it that), Route 66, Springfield style Cashew Chicken, The Assemblies of God World Headquarters, the famous Wild Bill Hickok shooting on the square, the Federal Medical Center for Prisoners, Springfield Cardinals AA Baseball, beautiful parks, and a great library system are just a few of the great things that make up the Queen City. The Wilson's Creek Natonal Battlefield is only minutes West from Springfield. The town of Ozark is just minutes South of Springfield and offers great antique shopping and Lambert's Restaurant.
