Nashville, Tennessee
Music City USA
I was born in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee in 1977. I lived in the Greater Nashville Area until 1989. Nashville has a lot to offer adults and kids alike. The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is one of the largest hotels in the United States, and offers tours. The Grand Ole Opry next door is a great place to catch a show on Friday or Saturday Nights. The Opry is also the annual host to the CMA Awards. The Downtown area has a lot to offer including The Capital building, the Bicentennial Park North of the Capital, the Hard Rock Cafe, the many bars, clubs, and restaurants up Broadway, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Just West of Downtown you will find Centennial Park, which has a full size replica of the Parthenon, Vanderbilt University, and Music Row where many of the stars record. There are a number of colleges and universities in Nashville, giving Nashville the nickname "Athens of the South".
